After 3 huge days of recording MSO at Iwaki Auditorium and a solid week of mixing at Soundfirm, the orchestral score for upcoming feature film “Paper Planes” is locked in and sounding huge. This is a great family movie, directed by Robert Connolly and starring Sam Worthington. This is the first Australian score to be mixed in the new Dolby Atmos format, and Nigel Westlake’s amazing orchestrations are certainly well worthy of the honour. Paper Planes will premiere at MIFF later this year, with a hefty general release for the Summer school holiday season.. I can’t wait to check it out in 3D!
